What are we offering?
We are offering college undergraduates or fresh graduates – from all
academic backgrounds, the opportunity to join an online experience around
technology innovation, Tech4Good global competition and cross-cultural
exchange.
During the 8-day program, the participants will:
- receive entry level and advanced courses on key technologies, including
5G, cloud computing and AI
- hear from Huawei experts, external entrepreneurs, professors or
scientists who will share perspectives on a wide range of topics from
cyber security to aerospace industry
- immerse in an interactive and dynamic classroom where group discussion, debate, round table dialogues will be arranged to ensure cross-cultural exchanges with fellows from other countries
- participate in “Tech4Good” group project to increase social entrepreneurship, build problem solving and leadership skills through team work, and deepen sense of social responsibility. Finally, you will have a chance to register for global competition and use your own innovation to compete with all the other technological works created by students around the world. Winners can get our amazing prizes.
- get a glimpse at Huawei’s history and technological developments including virtual tours of Huawei exhibition halls, campus and stores
- You will officially join the alumni community where exclusive webinars, round table dialogue, celebration event etc. will be held all year round to strengthen the sense of belonging.
Who are we looking for?
To be considered for Huawei’s ‘Seeds for the Future’ program in 2022, applicants will need to match the following criteria:
- College undergraduates or fresh graduates with excellent academic records
- Have strong interest in ICT industry, entrepreneurship and great enthusiasm for learning
- Have good English language ability
- Have willingness to participate in group project and global competition

Workshop (Empowering Students Professionally)
The Information Technology Center, in cooperation with the Moon Gate Company, held a training workshop for university students in the field of information and communication technology for the departments (computer science, computer engineering, control and systems engineering, communications engineering) on Thursday, 30/6/2022, in the center’s central hall, in the presence of University of Technology students
The workshop covered several important topics:
- Steps to be followed by students in developing their career path
- The responsibilities of the private sector in empowering students
- Responsibilities of the public sector in empowering students
- How to reduce the gap between what the students possesses from the basics and requirements of the labor market
- Summer training program offered by Moon Gate Company
- Introducing students to the importance of obtaining accredited international certificates.
Creating a new version of the contract archiving system
The Information Technology Center / Maintenance Division created a new (backup) copy of the contract archiving system on 06/22/2022 that includes all previous data related to archiving governmen contracts and saving them to a new computer.
This is according to the request of the beneficiary (Government Contracts Division at the university) for the purpose of archiving it with the possibility of searching and restoring any book that was previously saved in full details with a copy of the book.
Amazon Cloud Services Grant in cooperation with the University of Technology
Within the virtual training program Iraqi cyber security program ICS, which was launched by the Information Technology Center / Avicenna Division at the University of Technology and in cooperation with AWS CLOUD COMPANY, the Iraq Cloud Group grants, with an initial initiative, 100 US dollars to 40 participants in the program as a laboratory value and a total value of 4000 dollars This grant will help students and professors participating in using it in the cloud laboratories provided by Amazon for the training program... The opening of the Huawei Academy at the University of Technology
The opening of the Huawei Academy at the University of Technology, where the academy aims to integrate the company’s academic content in the fields of (networks and artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things and 5G communications) with the university’s curricula, as well as training students on the latest technologies and ICT trends.
Where the academy works to qualify students to meet the requirements of the labor market in the fields of information and communications technology, build their capabilities and develop their digital skills, as Huawei’s practical content depends on the latest advanced technologies in line with global trends and the digital transformation plan
Huawei Academy seeks to transfer Huawei’s global knowledge and expertise to students through training programs that take into account the latest global trends, with the aim of preparing and training new staffs to be armed with the latest solutions and technologies, qualifying them for the labor market and joining them with major active companies

After completing the course by the student, the exam can be obtained for free. If the student passes the exam, he will be provided by Huawei with an international certificate valid for 3 years.
