The Information Technology Center at the University of Technology held a workshop on the project of developing the optical cable network at the university and the FTTD technology in the presence of the university president. Prof. Amin Douai Thamer and Director of the Center Assis.Prof. Rahim Abdul-Saheb and members of the association of scientific and engineering departments and centers at the University.

The workshop, in which the Director of the Information Networks Division (Senior Engineer Moataz Jabbar and Senior Engineer Muthana Ali) presented a lecture to explain the work of the current optical network and the scientific and practical steps to develop it to keep pace with the university technological development in the field of information and communication technology, By the internal network division staff in 2014 which was a technological precedent for the university then. The network division team has refined its scientific and practical expertise in the field of optical cable to achieve the above development project.
