The second workshop of Huawei Academy
Under the patronage of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, and under the supervision of the Center Director, Lecturer Ali Abdul Razzaq Tarish, and in cooperation with the Huawei Academy for Information and Communications Technology, the Information Technology Center presented the second Huawei Academy workshop at the University of Technology in the hall of the Communications Engineering Department on the day Tuesday, 02/20/2024, and the main topics of the workshop were:
- Providing Huawei Academy services in training and developing university students in the field of information and communications technology and preparing them for the labor market, which targets the segment of students and graduates of the University of Technology, in addition to university staff and hobbyists as well.
- Reviewing the courses offered by the academy according to the priorities of the labor market.
- An overview of the competitions and innovative projects organized and supervised by the Academy.

The workshop was attended by students from various university departments and a number of university employees and Lecturers.
Workshop on data analysis using Python
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghadhban, and under the supervision of the Office of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and high Studies, Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology hosted a workshop entitled “Data Analysis Using Python,” which was held on Monday, February 19, 2024, in Al-Kindi Hall, in the presence of A number of Lecturers staff and postgraduate students.
The workshop, which was delivered by asst.L. Abu Bakr Saeb Issa, a lecturer at the Information Technology Center, aimed to develop data analysis skills within the program for developing scientific research skills for faculty members.
The workshop included providing a comprehensive understanding of the basics of the Python programming language and its applications in data analysis. The basics of major Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib were explained, which helped participants understand how to read data, analyze it, and apply the necessary analyzes to extract useful statistical values and graphs.
Launching of Arabic language and computer proficiency courses
Under the direct supervision of the Information Technology Center Manager at the University of Technology, Lecturer, Ali Abdul Razzaq Tarish; the Center launch on Sunday, February 11, 2024, Arabic language and computer proficiency courses.
The registration of these courses is online according to the links below and these links are open every Sunday after 12 PM every week, then closed when the required participants are sufficient.

A Lecturer from the Information Technology Center publishes scientific research within the activities of a conference sponsored by the IEEE Foundation
Asst.L. Abu Bakr Saeb, a lecturer at the Information Technology Center, published a scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence entitled “Enhanced Harris Hawks Optimization (EHHO) for Detecting COVID-19 Using Chest X-Ray”
Within the activities of the Advances in Engineering Science and Technology (AEST) conference, which was held at the University of Babylon under the auspices of the IEEE Foundation, it presents an improved approach to detecting the Corona epidemic based on the falcon bird algorithm, to improve classification accuracy using chest X-ray images.

Huawei Academy Workshop
Under the patronage of President Assistant of Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, and under the direct supervision of the Manager of Information Technology Center at the University of Technology, Lecturer, Ali Abdul Razzaq Tarish, the Center held in cooperation with the Huawei Academy for Information and Communications a workshop about (Huawei Academy services in training and developing university students in the field of information and communications technology and preparing them for the labor market), which targets students and graduates of the University, the university staff and hobbyists as well.
The workshop included several pivots, including the courses offered by the Academy according to labor market priorities, and an overview of the competitions and innovative projects organized and supervised by the Academy.
