The committee presented many solutions that reduce the risks of flooding associated with the fall of the Mosul Dam, if it occurs, examples of that risk permanent effects on buildings, Mold growth, metal corrosion, moisture problems, erosion, destabilizing walls, and warped floors. Items and contents, such as furniture, cabinets, computers, files, books, food, and equipment, can also be damaged by floodwaters. Many risks can occur due to flooding: such as power outages, leakage of hazardous materials such as gas, food contamination, mold spread and other contaminants that can grow in buildings and their contents and thus lead to outbreaks of infectious diseases.
